Adriana is a senior innovation consultant at Bax & Company, working on projects related to sustainability, climate adaptation and digital policies. Adriana is a policy analyst with a background in engineering and over 10 years’ experience in research and innovation activities in the academic, public and private sectors. She provides evidence-based policy and strategy recommendations to organisations in a wide range of fields including energy transition, digital transformation and sustainable development. Adriana works in developing, coordinating and managing European collaborative research projects under different programmes including Horizon 2020 and Interreg.
Adriana was previously part of the RMIT University’s European research hub and the Mobile World Capital Foundation where she supported experts, academics, researchers and industry leaders in the creation and expansion of successful research and innovation partnerships.
Adriana holds a PhD in Economics of Innovation & Technology and an MSc in Engineering and Policy Analysis from Delft University of Technology. As a researcher, she has mainly focused on the impact of energy policies on renewable energy technologies, paying attention to the role of fossil fuel subsidies in the technological progress of wind and solar power. In other projects, she has contributed to the socio-economic analysis and the development of scenarios for the transition to more sustainable energy systems in The Netherlands as well as the assessment of the impact of ICT & digital technologies on national economic growth.
Adriana is Colombian but she has lived in Europe for many years. She speaks Spanish, English and has a good understanding of Dutch and Catalan. She enjoys living in Barcelona and takes every chance she finds to travel around and explore this beautiful region.
