Frans joined Bax & Company as innovation consultant in January 2023. Ambitious and passionate about climate-related issues, Frans is mission-driven to mitigate environmental impacts and help transition the world to a more sustainable future.
Frans holds an M.Sc. Industrial Ecology, a joint degree from the University of Technology Delft and Leiden University. During his master’s Frans learned to adopt systems thinking to address sustainability issues, a problem-solving approach that recognises the systemic nature of energy and material flows. Within his degree Frans specialised in energy systems. He wrote his graduation project on the visions of Dutch seaports developing as hydrogen hubs, in which he outlined the geotechnical characteristics and geopolitical implications of this transition. At Bax & Company Frans works on various cross-sectoral projects within the Interreg programs.
Frans speaks Dutch and English fluently and maintains a good level of French and Spanish. Frans likes to travel to new places and experience new cultures. In his free-time he likes reading and writing, skiing in winter, and diving in summer.
