Jesse Renema joined Bax & Company in December 2016 as an interdisciplinary consultant who is keen on realising sustainable and resilient societal development. His interests are in the interface between science, technology and society, uncertain and contested risks posed by emerging technologies, climate adaptation and inclusive governance.
In his work Jesse is dedicated to form coalitions, bridge gaps between sectors, disciplines and engage with a wide range of diverse stakeholders. All to address challenges, overcome barriers and identify opportunities to realize sustainable development. Jesse has been involved in the installment of the Global Centre on Adaptation. His current projects include accelerating climate adaptation through effective collaboration and accelerating the transition towards a circular economy through i.a. public procurement.
Jesse graduated with a master’s in Science and Technology Studies from Maastricht University (NL), specialising in the interaction between science and public policy. During his studies, he completed an internship at the Dutch Research Institute for Transitions (DRIFT), where he contributed to the understanding of transformative social innovation.
