Margriet joined the Bax & Company Dutch Office as an innovation consultant in October 2020.
She obtained her Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University & Research in 2019, with a thesis based on sustainable clothing consumption. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Geography and Planning from the University of Utrecht with a thesis on collective solar energy projects.
Margriet moved to Barcelona for an internship at the Regional and Metropolitan Institute of Barcelona, where she conducted her own research about the local healthy food environment of the city. After this internship, she started working in Barcelona as a researcher and consultant at a company specialized in impact innovation. She worked on a publication about upscaling and spreading of citizen science. Margriet also was involved in multiple European projects concerning citizen science in the field of environmental epidemiology and gained experience in EU proposal writing and consultancy in the field of gender inequality in the tourism industry.
In her free time, Margriet enjoys working on different creative projects, including her own lingerie brand. She enjoys organising dinners with friends and family and spending time outside in (Mediterranean) nature.
Margriet is fluent in Dutch and English and has a basic understanding of German and is studying Spanish.
