Roeland joined Bax and Company in March 2021 as an intern for the Future Mobility cluster and has since become an innovation consultant for the team after completing his Master’s degree. His current role consists of helping public authorities, researchers and businesses drive sustainable innovation in the fields of mobility and tourism through EU funding programmes.
Roeland holds an MSc in Sustainable Business and Innovation from the University of Utrecht, where he wrote his thesis on overcoming the challenges of cross-sector collaboration for sustainability. Roeland also completed the Climate KIC Master Label programme, where he explored systems thinking approaches as well as climate science and sustainable entrepreneurship alongside his regular Master’s courses.
In his spare time, Roeland enjoys hiking in nature, snowboarding, and camping. He also loves digging for new music, as well as producing songs and DJing when he gets the chance.
Roeland is fluent in English, Dutch and German, and is learning Spanish.
