The position
We are seeking a consultant to join our Health Innovation Team. You will be working at our Barcelona headquarters, taking responsibility for the execution and management of innovation assignments with partners across Europe.
Our healthcare innovation team believes that healthcare systems are one of society’s biggest assets and works to ensure their sustainability for future generations. Today, these systems are confronted with unprecedented demographic and economic pressures. Europe’s aging population, growing healthcare worker shortages, and the introduction of innovative treatments are driving up costs and straining reimbursement systems. These new challenges demand collaborative, multi-stakeholder responses that existing frameworks are ill-prepared to deliver. Our Healthcare Innovation team at Bax aims to tackle these issues by focusing in three areas of work:
- Tackling existing bottlenecks in Healthcare
- Facilitating the adoption of innovative solutions
- Empowering Patients & Citizens to take charge of their health
If you are ready to take on the challenge, we are looking for a candidate who can help us manage our growing portfolio of innovation projects.
The main tasks you will work on include:
- Conceptualisation and development of European innovation proposals, coordinating with clients, leading concept development, and producing high-value analysis, advice, and deliverables.
- Full-cycle project management of both existing and new initiatives in our areas of activity.
- Identification of potential opportunities for new and existing clients, supporting them in achieving their vision by staying informed on trends and scientific advancements.

We seek fast-learning candidates interested in developing new and innovative solutions to tackle the major bottlenecks of the healthcare sector.
Education:
- A Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or similar studies.
- Training in project management or proposal preparation would be an asset.
Experience:
- 2-5 years of relevant professional experience in EU-funded projects, primary and secondary data analysis, or innovation management in the health sector.
- Experience working in the healthcare sector, with a demonstrated understanding of the major bottlenecks across the bench-to-bedside pathway.
Competencies:
- Analytical skills: Ability to to analyse and summarise scientific and technical concepts into compelling formats for our clients.
- Organisational skills: Ability to prioritise activities and manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral skills: Ability to comfortably engage professionally with a broad range of international clients.
