European collaboration projects are one of the ways in which we deliver these services, in the framework of Horizon Europe or other EU-funded programmes. Our services include the creation of business, R&D, policy collaborations and the project management of such collaborations.

The position

We are seeking a Junior Consultant to join our Local Energy Systems team. You will be working at our Barcelona headquarters, taking responsibility for the execution and management of innovation consultancy assignments with partners across Europe. You will be working in 2-4 small teams serving several clients in parallel, so strong project management skills are a must have.

The main tasks you will work on include:

Conceptualisation and implementation of European innovation initiatives, coordinating clients, leading project management and producing high-value analysis, advice and deliverables for clients.

Assessment of the economic, environmental, and societal impact of local energy projects, applying quantitative and qualitative methods for data collection and analysis, applying them to financing models and defining future scenarios.
Business modelling and definition of exploitation strategies to support the implementation of new solutions and services.
Productisation of in-house developed tools and services. The Local Energy team is looking to build energy-related products and is looking for a consultant with interested in becoming a driven product owner.

The candidates we are seeking

We seek fast-learning candidates who have an interest in developing new and innovative solutions for the local energy sector.

Background and profile: MSc in Energy, Sustainability or Business Studies is preferred. We seek candidates with 0-2 years of relevant professional experience in energy and/or project management. It would be a strong plus for candidates providing experience either in strategy and/or finance consulting or experience in innovation positions.
Languages: Proficiency in English, both written and oral, is essential (almost all our assignments are performed in English). Fluency in German would be a strong plus. Additionally, we value fluency in our client’s native languages including Dutch, Spanish or French.

Soft skills: We expect a great deal of autonomy and proactivity, being able to communicate professionally with partners and clients, and managing and leading discussions and public presentations.
Hard skills: Proficiency in digitalisation skills or previous experience with business intelligence (BI) programs would be a plus.
