The position

We are seeking a consultant to join our Healthcare Innovation team. You will be working at our Barcelona headquarters, taking responsibility for the coordination and management of innovation assignments with partners across Europe.

Our Healthcare Innovation team believes that healthcare systems are one of society’s biggest assets and works to ensure their sustainability for future generations. Today, these systems are confronted with unprecedented demographic and economic pressures. Europe’s aging population, growing healthcare worker shortages, and the introduction of innovative treatments are driving up costs and straining reimbursement systems. These new challenges demand collaborative, multi-stakeholder responses that existing frameworks are ill-prepared to deliver. We aim to tackle these issues by focusing on:

  1. Tackling existing bottlenecks in the healthcare sector.
  2. Facilitating the adoption of innovative solutions.
  3. Empowering patients & citizens to take charge of their health.

We are looking for a candidate who can help us manage our growing portfolio of innovation projects, contributing to both proposal development and project execution.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Conceptualisation and development of technical European proposals, coordinating with clients, leading concept development, and translating technical terms into high-value, clear, and convincing content.
  • Drive the advanced therapies workstream by looking for opportunities, identifying and approaching key stakeholders, and keeping up to date with advances in the field.
  • Full cycle project management of both existing and new initiatives in our areas of activity.
  • Identification of potential opportunities for our new and existing clients to support them in reaching their vision by staying updated on trends and scientific advancements.

The candidates we are seeking

We welcome motivated candidates that want to join us in developing innovative solutions to tackle the major bottlenecks of the health sector.

EDUCATION:

  • A Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or related studies.
  • Training in project management or proposal preparation valued.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven relevant professional experience in health-related EU-funded projects, primary and secondary data analysis, or innovation management.
  • Professional experience in the health sector, with a demonstrated understanding of the major bottlenecks across the bench-to-bedside pathway.
  • Previous experience of working in advanced therapies valued.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Analytical skills: Ability to to analyse and summarise scientific and technical concepts into compelling formats for our clients.
  • Organisational skills: Ability to prioritise activities and manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines.
  • Proactive attitude: Self-starter who can take ownership of their tasks and propose solutions to identified bottlenecks.
  • Interpersonal skills: Team player with strong people skills able to effectively engage with our portfolio of international clients.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English, both written and oral, is essential. Additionally, we value fluency in other European languages (Nordic languages are considered an asset).
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel occasionally.
