Areas of work: Healthcare Innovation

Office: Barcelona

Languages spoken: Catalan, Spanish, English, French

Education: BSc in Biology from the University of Barcelona (Spain), MSc in Biomedical Sciences at Hood College (US), PostGraduate degree in Business Administration in the Biotech Sector from the Biotechnology Business Institute (University of Barcelona).

Previous work experience: With more than ten years of international bench-to-bedside experience, I am passionate about the role of innovation in ensuring the sustainability of the health sector.
After working at the National Institute of Health (NIH) in the US, I moved to the UK to bring science closer to society. During my time in London, I worked on securing funding for strategic initiatives at both King’s College London University and the NHS Trust, advocating for patients’ interests in policy positions and NICE meetings at Breast Cancer Now, as well as the Experimental Cancer Medicine Centres (ECMC) Programme Office at Cancer Research UK.
In 2017, I returned to Barcelona, where I led the International Projects Unit at Pere Virgili Health Research Institute, successfully developing personalised funding strategies tailored to the visions of different research groups. I also managed the 2021 StartHealth pre-seed Accelerator Program and led the Management & Marketing Department at Creatio, an advanced therapies Centre and academic CDMO.

At the weekend: I’m bringing my creative side to photography and dance, as well as discovering new places, whether in nature, around the world, or stumbling upon a hidden street in Barcelona.
