Núria Vàzquez Salat joined Bax & Company in January 2024 as a Health Innovation consultant. With more than ten years of international bench-to-bedside experience, Núria is passionate about the role of innovation in ensuring the sustainability of the health sector.

After working at the National Institute of Health (NIH) in the US, Núria moved to the UK to bring science closer to society. In 2017, she returned to Barcelona, where she led the International Projects Unit at Pere Virgili Health Research Institute, successfully developing personalised funding strategies tailored to the visions of different research groups. She also managed the 2021 StartHealth pre-seed Accelerator Program and led the Management & Marketing Department at Creatio, an advanced therapies Centre and academic CDMO.

Núria’s gained interdisciplinary experience – from basic biology to patient representation – allows her to bring a unique perspective to the health sector. Additionally, Núria holds a BSc in Biology from the University of Barcelona (Spain) followed by an MSc in Biomedical Sciences at Hood College (US) and a PostGrad degree in Business Administration in the Biotech Sector from the Biotechnology Business Institute (University of Barcelona).

In her free time, Núria enjoys bringing her creative side to photography and dance, as well as discovering new places, whether in nature, around the world, or stumbling upon a hidden street in Barcelona.

Núria speaks Catalan, Spanish, English and French.
